Technical Project Manager

Silvergate Bank has a unique opportunity to join our Digital Origination Team as a Technical Project Manager (TPM). The TPM will function as a collaborative member of the team that is responsible for equipping the bank with proactive, dynamic, and innovative technical solutions to best serve the evolving needs and preferences of the Bank’s clients and customers. This position will contribute to planning, managing, and monitoring projects from concept through implementation. This position will have a key role in building the next generation of lending and Fintech client experiences that will improve productivity, competitiveness and deliver compelling user experiences that are in line with Silvergate’s core values.

Maintain current knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations, along with the Bank’s policies and procedures.

Has a key role in

Gather requirements and implement modifications and functionality for new and existing applications within the Silvergate API Platform.

Interact with Project Managers from multiple organizations to define requirements, track project progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status, and assess potential impacts to the business.

Develop, prepare, and maintain project documentation such as project lists, project status reports, training materials, and budget.

  1. Manage the Software Development Lifecycle for complex Lending and API related projects
  2. Manage the Quality Control/Quality Assurance and release cycle of bank development initiatives.
  3. Provide stakeholders training materials and support during project delivery and handoff.
  4. Attention to detail, ability to translate technical specifications into terminology and the ability to effectively communicate to a diverse set of stakeholders.
  5. Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices; leverages expertise to produce solutions that enable global consistency and standardization and facilitate exceptional performance.
  6. Possess a working knowledge of core banking functions, processes, and operations.
  7. Experience in implementing concurrent technology projects on-time and on-budget.
  8. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with daily challenges and opportunities.
  9. Self-sufficient, accountable and reliable.

KSA's: 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degrees in areas of Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with implementing REST, SOAP, HTTPS, and various web-services.
